Individual Counseling

Individual counseling involves only the client and the therapist. This is where the client works one on one with the therapist. Specific goals for counseling are determined together by the client and therapist. The frequency and duration of counseling will depend on the client's needs, treatment goals, and personal progress. Many concerns may be resolved with short-term counseling, and more complex concerns might require a longer commitment before improvement is realized. Ultimately the individual’s desire and determination to heal play an essential role in whether counseling is helpful and successful.
